Fifty years for a company represent a very long period of time. Especially in the fashion world, which more than any other industrial sector has gone through radical transformations and has known a global keen competition, that distorted its nature.

Ann Max is one of those companies which sought to be innovative and to improve export, experimentation and high quality, so to be able to survive in “this storming sea”. Ann Max is one of them thanks to the enthusiasm, the tenacity and the dreams of the two founders, Enzo Colombini and his wife Lucia. Two people who, at the age of 80, continue to control the company and take the strategic decisions even today.

    Enter of the third generation
    During the years of the deep transformation of the company, the thirdgeneration enters Ann Max. They are Carlotta Colombini and Beatrice Cozzani,the grandchildren of Enzo and Lucia, who are “permanent presences” in the offices and production departments of Ann Max from their earliest years. Carlotta enters gradually the family-run business. After the bachelor’s degree in economics and business, she gets the accountant license and begins to work for an associate accounting firm.

    In 2008 Carlotta begins to assist her father in the creation and promotion of the company outlet. The outlet is a good bet and from 2009 Carlotta works partly for the company and partly for the accounting firm. But in 2012 she decides to devote herself to AnnMax full-time...

    ... The outlet is an important training ground, also considering the promotion of the brand Maria Bellentani, for which Carlotta is taking little by little more and more responsabilities, especially in the coordination of the collection of samples, with which every company can present its own products, and creates the final collection. A diversified collection of samples, that includes innovative fabrics, which is trendy and is the outcome of the capability to pay attention to different people inside and outside of the company, is the main condition that let survive and develop a textile company.

    And for this reason Carlotta feels that her responsibility is increasing. In the crucial moments she still thinks about the call of her grandfather to «imagine with customers’mind to avoid any mistake». And this is all Beatrice, Carlotta’s cousin, is learning to do. She has been working at Ann Max for two years, after making some summer internships and testing the job working for a year and a half, a couple of afternoons a week, when she was studying economics and business.
